Has anybody ever asked Lord Cashman if he'd sleep with a transman?

PotholeParadies · 24/02/2021 13:39

@OvaHere

Reminds of another fave misogynist - the Cyclepath and Sports are a Right self proclaimed expert.

Was tweeting yesterday about turning down an opportunity to defend their position of inclusion at the hearing of a bill about female sports near to their hometown.

Assuming it's true they were invited the reason given was that it was too short notice. Odd to turn down such an opportunity when this subject has been your raison de etre for several years and you consider yourself a world renowned expert.

That's so they can say "no trans voices were consulted" if it doesn't go the way they'd like, and get a twitter mob going.

Cashman can clearly find the time for Twitter but not for the debate which he thinks is important. 🧐

Freddy calling women who want specific language in law transphobes, it's a bit like when Freddy called women who had lost babies who wanted to be called mothers, bullies for calling out SANDS on their use of language.

Oh and Mikey the 'Pregnant' 'intersex' teen was a hoax, but yes if this young man had turned out to be the first ever man to be pregnant due to internal female reproductive organs and external male genitalia then the IVF docs would have revealed to the worked the scientific phenomenon of the first known case of it's kind. Or perhaps referred him to specifically who would have been studying him ever since...and yet it turned out to be just a large pizza or whatever it was he ate for dinner.

The whole ‘it’s not a pie’ is just ridiculous and doesn’t work for a lot of trans issues.

If we started allowing people without disabilities to park in disabled spaces or compete in paraolympics then that would be to the detriment of people with disabilities. I don’t see how letting males compete in female sports or letting them in prisons etc isn’t also to the detriment of females.

Also had to laugh at a TRA activist on the tweet complaining about someone using the term female as that was demeaning but I’m sure they’d be fine with vulva haver etc

That's because it's about boring old female rights stuff. Who cares about that, but after the fact, let's do some virtue signalling to all the TRAs on my Twitter account about the plight of MTF trans people.

Mollyollydolly · 24/02/2021 14:26

I find men like Cashman scary. The anger at women, bubbling away under a veneer of equality and inclusion. It's plain to see. And yet there he is on Breakfast TV this morning, plugging his book, the voice of liberal inclusion. It's like a parallel universe.

FindTheTruth · 24/02/2021 16:48

FFS - Why do men who are vile to women get so much air time? uggh

yourhairiswinterfire · 24/02/2021 17:01

I see he's responded to quite a few people that are giving him a pat on the back, but has said nothing to the people pointing out that maternity is jack shit to do with transwomen...

How were transwomen 'blatantly' misrepresented and defamed in the debate, anyway? I don't recall them even being mentioned?!

PotholeParadies · 24/02/2021 17:06

Well, there you go.

Blatantly transphobic.

They weren't to my knowledge, as they are totally irrelevant to the discussion of said Bill. A couple of the speakers mentioned FTM trans people.

FindTheTruth · 24/02/2021 17:17

I wish tweeters would reply to the The herd giving him a pat on the back. (Cashman won't reply to anyone sharing facts)

I wonder if it's worth writing to our MPs about what he's doing on twitter, misrepresentations in a democracy and our concern that he's on the Government LGBT panel which doesn't keep minutes of meetings and carries out activism in secret. Jackie Doyle said write to your MP www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/a3964490-Standing-For-Women-Jackie-Doyle-Price-MP-My-message-to-women-everywhere-is-use-your-voice-and-tell-your-MP-what-what-you-think

MajorMujer · 24/02/2021 17:20

My eyes nearly rolled out of my head reading that.

BarbaraofKent · 24/02/2021 18:36

What have transwomen even got to do with a Maternity Bill?

He doesn't even mention transmen does he?

Says it all. What a misogynist.

It all makes me think of Tom Cruise in Magnolia shouting “Respect the cock!”

Hmmm maybe a certain organisation could ditch "acceptance without exception" and replace it with this...
