From the bottom of my heart. You amazing women give me life and hope. It was here I learned about the wonderful Magdalen Berns, and became a fully-fledged feminist. I don't post here much but I read everything. I don't know where I would be without you all!

I would like to add my thanks. I have learnt so much here.

dyslek · 20/02/2021 09:08

Agree, its an amazing place.
I am seeing the censorship becoming much more intrusive though, I hope much needed political speech for women is not shut down here.

IAmFleshIAmBone · 20/02/2021 09:11

I agree that it seems we can't always say exactly how we feel on a subject. It's a shame, but I still feel that this is a great place and have directed many people to this board.

It’s great to know there are more of us out there - this place has been a saviour for my sanity Flowers

Yes We are not being unreasonable!

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 20/02/2021 17:25

What a lovely thread.

JKRismyPatronus · 20/02/2021 17:41

I mainly lurk but would like to add my thanks too.

invisibleoldwoman · 20/02/2021 17:42

Adding my thanks.

SingleHandSue · 20/02/2021 17:48

I lurk here and on Twitter following amazing, intelligent feminist voices. I have had my eyes well and truly opened to the issues affecting women.

I peaked my best friend too drawing her attention to it. She works in safeguarding and writes about issues regarding mental health so she’s a brilliant ally.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/02/2021 23:15

Lovely to hear OP Thanks

Strikemepink · 20/02/2021 23:17

Adding my thanks, I have learned so much, I still go back and read a thread I started ‘break it down for me’.

DistantVworp · 20/02/2021 23:18

I mainly lurk but posted tonight...thank you all for giving me the courage (and knowledge) to speak up!

DistantVworp · 21/02/2021 00:02

Well, my thread seems to have been deleted, seems a bit excessive when they could have just deleted the derailer's posts, but thank you to the many posters who posted on it, made me feel like I'd done the right thing, and massively calmed me down.

A number of you also made the very useful point that need to think about my audience - it's not necessarily the person I'm replying to, but the lurkers and others who may be reading.

Thank you Flowers

Your thread has been so useful to new posters!

IAmFleshIAmBone · 21/02/2021 00:06

Why did they delete your thread?! Because of a troll? Seems excessive. I wanted to know what your beardy woke-bro friend said

I'm so sorry DistantVorp. I was just about to post on your thread and give you a thumbs up - so I'll do it here.

unwashedanddazed · 21/02/2021 00:43

FWR is a little oasis of sanity in truly mad world. Reading here is like taking off a tight pair of shoes.

CatChant · 21/02/2021 00:46

Many thanks from another grateful mostly lurker too. As Suzanne Moore wrote: "There are more of us than you think..."

And @DistantVworp I hadn't quite finished reading your thread so I wasn't able to post that you were being what I'd call stunning and brave, so I'll say it here. Well done you.

MonochromeMinnie · 21/02/2021 00:56

I'd like to add my thanks too. I've learned so much on these boards and now happily and confidently hold my own in any FWR debate using the knowledge I've gained here. You women rock!

MsMoorhead · 21/02/2021 01:20

First post from a very long time lurker. Smile I too would like to add my thanks to all you bloody amazing women, l have learned so much from you all and l believe there must be so many like me who are lurking and learning & sharing and raising awareness of this madness with friends and family. Flowers

TheDuchessOfEarl · 21/02/2021 09:57

Adding my name to the thanks. You have taught me, and in turn DH, lots and I am eternally grateful

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 21/02/2021 10:07

Adding my thanks Flowers to all you amazing women. Ditto mainly lurk, but a couple of years lurking here has completely opened my eyes. So many wise, knowledgeable and patient posters. Thank you, vipers, and also thank you @JustineMumsnet for standing for our right to debate, and continuing to give us a space. Even if the depressingly heavy censorship makes it Swiss cheese at times, its value cannot be underestimated. Thank you.

Strikemepink · 21/02/2021 10:12

That’s good to know!
Svrider · 21/02/2021 10:16

Also a sincere thank you from me
Without this forum I would be happily assuming guide leaders were women
That those attending ranger camp were girls

I have very careful conversations with our union reps at work, and in all honesty, they just seem very ignorant around the erasure of women, and women's rights, and child safeguarding

So thank you
