Does it describe someone who is only attracted to cheap, tinned, meat pies?

This was my immediate thought too. And now I want a pie.
MingeofDeath · 17/02/2021 12:34

Ooh. My guilty pleasure is a Fray Bentos pie Grin

zanahoria · 17/02/2021 12:35

Fray Bentos is an actual city in Uruguay, they must be flying the flag there.

Shedbuilder · 17/02/2021 12:43

Like the idea of being fraysexual but sad that it's being promoted on Twitter by a right-wing pro-life black woman (from the look of things, anyway).

iklboo · 17/02/2021 12:46

Someone attracted to unfinished hems on garments? Material coming apart?

BeatricePrior · 17/02/2021 12:49

I've just watched that?!

Is it real?

Is it not just liking the look of someone then getting to know them and then not fancying them?

Yes! Like the poem by Wendy Cope: "Two Cures for Love
  1. Don’t see him. Don’t phone or write a letter.
  2. The easy way: get to know him better."

I'm definitely fraysexual, the last fray I had sex with a picture of a teapot on it.....oh sorry no I'm traysexual

TabbyStar · 17/02/2021 16:22

"Is there a flag for a post menopausal woman who can't be doing with any of that shit? Asking for a friend."

From Rachel Rooney Grin

thinkingaboutLangCleg · 17/02/2021 16:25

traysexual
I’ve met some very attractive trays .... You could have some very messy fun with a claysexual. A praysexual sounds a bit creepy. But — ooh, a playsexual, that would be great. Though maybe a bit silly after a while.

ShallIAskHer · 17/02/2021 16:35

Totally Fry-Sexual: would pass up on actual sex or romance for a good fry-up most days.

WendyTestaburger · 17/02/2021 16:43

Perhaps all these whatever-sexual definitions are the logical conclusion of grooming teens that they're not allowed boundaries & the general societal message that women are constantly up for it. So they have to think of very proper reasons not to fuck someone that go beyond "I can't be bothered" or "yes I know I fancy men, but I don't fancy you".

NoToast · 17/02/2021 17:12

I like the sound of this one. I may have to seriously reconsider being fern gender.

Holothane · 17/02/2021 17:15

We love Frey bentos pies.

Echobelly · 17/02/2021 17:28

I've seen stuff about these 'sexualities' before , and I'll say, I'm not convinced. I don't think it's a very big movement, but some people seem to be confusing 'mindsets about relationships' with sexualities.

It could be harmless, but it could also be an excuse for people to be arseholes: 'I can't help it, my sexuality is to be attracted to emotionally generous people, do all the taking and not give anything back', 'Sorry, my sexuality means I can't be faithful even though I really love you' (NB this was none of the 'sexualities' I saw, but something like 'fray' isn't far off to my mind.)

Fraysexual anyone?
JoodyBlue · 17/02/2021 17:51

@Echobelly - spot on

JoodyBlue · 17/02/2021 17:52

I wonder what happens if a baby is mistakenly conceived within a fray sexual relationshp....... I do hope this is parody, have a horrid feeling that it isn't.

BarbaraofKent · 17/02/2021 18:09

Isn't all this shit pretty insulting to LGB people as well?

Like, it's basically saying 'I'm straight but I'm appropriating the struggles that gay, lesbian and bisexual people have faced in the past, by making myself look like I need my own flag and my own special sexuality recognised and validated by everyone. In reality I'm not oppressed at all, largely because no one gives a fuck'.

My all time favourites of all of these remains 'Maverique'.

Maverique is a gender identity that is characterized by autonym towards manhood or womanhood, while having the internal conviction that it is unrelated or not derived from none of the binary genders,[1] while this is not a genderlessness or a gender apathy nor a gender neutrality.

😂😂😂

Echobelly · 17/02/2021 18:54

Well I kind of think, if these are sexualities, then how is good old vanilla heterosexuality categorised: 'Attraction to the opposite sex, usually with bonds formed over time but occasionally sleeping with people you've just met'

Is my sexuality 'Not attracted to many people, don't need much sex, usually attracted to men but also women sometimes' Confused Do I need a label for that or is it, y'know, just how I am as a person?

MashNgravy · 17/02/2021 18:58

If everything needs a label now, what can we call "too tired for all this shit, will fuck husband on special occasions or when he does a particularly good job of the housework"? I'm that one.

Vinosaurus · 17/02/2021 19:06

Don't worry - they'll all disappear up their own arses soon (and then probably give that a flag too)
