Suggest we let them know how their advertising campaign is going down - maybe like the time Ratner's said their jewellery was 'crap'?

They say their 'inbox' is a little full right now...let's all let them know what we think.

I have to say though, I'm amazed at all these people saying that Oatly or any other brands taste lovely. I'm new to non-dairy and I think they all taste revolting. Black tea for me now. Sad

[quote ThatIsNotMyUsername]Yup, oats and water.

I once went for a job with a hipster company like them and they asked what I could bring to their fabulous team. I said: I am the age of the people who buy your products. No one else in this office is, not by twenty years. I know how we like to be talked to.

They looked so surprised, like it hadn't occurred to them that middle aged women had opinions or the power to act on them. Got offered the job but turned it down.

SirSamuelVimes Don’t forget that pasta is just very think wallpaper paste?😁

eurochick · 01/02/2021 18:49

It's so disappointing. As a dairy intolerant person I was quite fond of Oatly. But Moma seems to be a decent alternative.

farwin · 01/02/2021 18:50

I got the ' our inbox is busy' reply yesterday. Off now to leave a review on my online shopping website.

ScrapThatThen · 01/02/2021 18:50

Yes don't use homemade oatmilk in hot chocolate and microwave it like I did though - chocolate porridge.

I saw their how to talk to your dad about milk ad in private eye. I assume it's intended to annoy because private eye is surely the dad demographic.

HermioneWeasley · 01/02/2021 18:51

Excellent, I have emailed them to say it’s not a good idea to treat the people who make the shopping decisions with contempt. We buy a couple of cartons a week.

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/02/2021 18:53

‘Talk to your dad’ and he will instruct mater to use her housekeeping allowance to make the relevant purchase?

StillAFeminist2 · 01/02/2021 18:53

@Insertfunnyname

Done. Told them I’m the adult who does the shopping and their attempt to drive a wedge between me and my children has lead to my decision to never buy their milk again. Etc.
That’s a good point
ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/02/2021 18:54

I told them not to presume to lecture the Greenham common generation about ethics...

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/02/2021 19:01

I am so making this - www.goodwitchkitchen.net/how-to-make-oat-milk-like-oatly/

What shall I use to seive it?

Stretchandsnap · 01/02/2021 19:05

My effort just sent
I make the food shopping decisions in my old fashion, sex based role as the woman of house. your patronising attempt at humour and woke-education has gone down baldly with this old dinosaur and I will be taking my buying power elsewhere
Best wishes

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/02/2021 19:07

So I’ve ordered my nut bag and glass bottle, arriving tomorrow.

We’re in business! I’ll let you know how it turns out. I also fancy trying my hand at some almond milk.

VegetableLove · 01/02/2021 19:08

Done. Fucking arseholes.

TheBuffster · 01/02/2021 20:22

Done.
Addressed:
Dear Sir or Madam,

Yours sincerely, nasty bigoted 30+ breeder.

TheBuffster · 01/02/2021 20:24

Just a heads up for those people who might make their own.
Supermarket oat milks have added essential vitamins like D3 and b12 so make sure you replace those elsewhere in your diet.
Nooch (nutritional yeast) is high in b12 and has a nutty, cheesy flavour.

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 01/02/2021 20:26

I already take but B and D3 supplements, so I’m good!
