Does anyone have a link to the audio?

PatsArrow · 02/02/2021 21:04

Sorry I just started a thread talking about the crowdfunder oops.

McDuffy · 02/02/2021 21:12

Is there a key word I can use? Can't find it on crowdfunder Blush

PatsArrow · 02/02/2021 21:18

I have no idea if that will work!

PatsArrow · 02/02/2021 21:20

It's CrowdFunder not CrowdJustice

McDuffy · 02/02/2021 21:21

You beauty, thanks PatsArrow Smile

AbsintheFriends · 02/02/2021 21:42

Thanks for the directions to the garden PatsArrow I'm just doing my donation now. Can anyone tell me if Crowdfunder are deserving of the discretionary add-on charge? I'll never give CrowdJustice another penny after the way they behaved over Allison Bailey's fund, but just wondered if Crowdfunder are better?

PatsArrow · 02/02/2021 21:55

I'm not sure. I gave them a tiny 5%. I'll see how they behave. I'm sure this won't be the last fund raiser.

AbsintheFriends · 02/02/2021 23:06

Thanks Pat, I've followed your lead.

PatsArrow · 03/02/2021 09:03

The Sarah Phillimore interview on Glinners YT channel is back up.

SlightlyDisappointedInCheadle · 03/02/2021 09:06

I had no idea about all this.

I'm really shocked at the actions of some people in positions of leadership.

Will get a spade out.

SlightlyDisappointedInCheadle · 03/02/2021 09:08

@newyearnewname123

The whole thing is a nightmare! Hopefully Kirsty Blackman will realise she was defaming you and withdraws her comments.

Has she done this as I can't see them? I didn't look far; was pretty fed up at some of her posts.

highame · 03/02/2021 09:24

The garden is galloping along. This should make the Blackman & Paisley question whether they want to be in court and have their remarks splashed all over the place. Nice way to put off your voters too Ms Blackman

Spero · 03/02/2021 09:32

Thank you so much for the hefting of spades. Talking tactics with my solicitors today and it is a mighty weight off my shoulders to know that I have this backing.

Which is interesting as I thought the bystander effect had been debunked by proper examination of the Kitty Genovese care - lots of people did ring the police, the problem was they all saw only small parts of the attack.

But it makes sense to say that the more people who speak out, the easier it must get. So whatever the psychological motivation let's hope more people do.

Flowers to Spero. I did a little digging, good to see it doing so well.

McDuffy · 03/02/2021 11:26

I dug and it's doing really well!

Spero · 03/02/2021 11:33

Terfmum, I am sure you are right. I saw a fascinating documentary on the Kitty Genovese case which debunked much that was claimed about it - people just watched her die from their windows, no one called the police etc, etc - and that was just bollocks.

She was subject to a sustained attack which didn't happen in just one place and apparently LOADS of people called it in but the message got confused as they were reporting different things - one person heard screams, the other saw her staggering etc etc

But one of the things I remember most and value the best about my mum was that she was one of the few people who would stand up and intervene when there was a problem, for e.g on a train. I do think there is a problem sometimes that people are waiting for 'permission' to act or react, and you need someone to get the ball rolling.

Glad to see my ball is rolling now!

Spero · 03/02/2021 11:34

This is the documentary - really fascinating and such a sad story.

Manderleyagain · 03/02/2021 11:49

Terfmum what happened in Nov 2020? I'm always interested in how people start asking questions. Was it something in your own life (in which case sorry if I'm being nosy) or was it something in the public eye?

If youve not been here long you might not realise mumsnet has rules in what can be said on this. The T**f word is pretty much banned and can lead to deletions - though the rules do say they take context into account. Probably best avoided.

Calyx72 · 03/02/2021 12:03

Added a spade to the pile just now

PIKNIK20 · 03/02/2021 12:06

She will fight back and we will fight back
