Largest batch is up. Particularly depressed by Barbados response, along with most of the others. Mine still not there ...

Barnardos.....

Would really like to see what they're doing to make the diagnostic pathway for autism for children 'kind and straightforward'.

Or access to CAHMS and mental health care.

Or support for children and families with disabilities.

I suspect trying to get your child diagnosed with autism, get hold of an NHS speech therapist for your non verbal preschooler, get an EHCP (and fight through tribunals for them), or get disability benefits are just some of the things common to families with children with significant needs that are much, much longer, harder, more expensive, more complicated, more beaurocratic and evidence based than applying for a GRA is.

And yet no children's charities are doing much hopping up and down about that.

Absolutely Michelle. The administrative hurdles to get a GRC are totally insignificant compared to everyday obstacles for children and their families to get the basic support, financial emotional and practical which they need. And yet Barnardos has such a huge profile you’d have really though this would be high up in their priorities. Captured of course

The people in STEMS research one was also a surprise...but then it did not claim to be from everyone in their group. Good to see one from a Dr that was very critical.

This!

The CAMHS in the area I live in is a shambles; you literally have to trying to kill yourself to get any type of service. Even then it’s patchy. Oh apart from the 6 sessions with a non qualified worker that you have to wait 2 years for.
