Advance plug - Kellie-Jay (Posie Parker) has interviewed Keira Bell, and has said it's going up today.

From :

We in the UK, we in England & Wales, we are going to win. And because we win, we're going to inspire the globe.

I had a chat with Keira Bell this afternoon - I'll be putting the video up tomorrow. And what she has done is she's started the ball rolling for people to really think about whether or not they assist, enable children to transition.

And what will happen with Keira Bell is it's already being talked about all around the world. And that is what we in this country have been able to do.

When I put my billboard up, they talked about it in languages I couldn't even recognise.

That's what happens when you pick up on something and you make it amazing - people cannot ignore it. And this is what every single one of you that has bought a T-shirt, or a sticker [...]

A little spoiler about tomorrow. The "Adult Human Female" campaign and billboard was one of the things that Keira Bell was inspired by. It helped her detransition. And that's you! That's every single one of you that's supported everything I do. That's what we can do.

We can literally inspire people to change the world.

(I love transcribing KJ's oratory - this sort of thing should be preserved for posterity).

Thanks for transcribing! Looking forward to it.

I’d legit get a TV licence if she hosted a breakfast show or something.

MrsRockAndRoll · 22/01/2021 13:17

Brilliant! Love KJ

Cuntysnark · 22/01/2021 13:44

Looking forward to hearing 2 fabulous women talking.

MichelleofzeResistance · 22/01/2021 13:52

My thoughts too, those two powerhouses together!

NonnyMouse1337 · 22/01/2021 14:03

Oh that's exciting!! Smile

This will be one to watch.

I love posie's presence she is so unapologetic.

The Posie/Magdalen interview is amazing and quite early on in Posie's activist career. I love the way neither of them defers to one another, makes fake nice etc.

They clearly respect one another and it's genuine.

TrashedWarrior · 22/01/2021 20:20

Oh wow this is great!

And amazing that the billboard supported her transition!

NecessaryScene1 · 22/01/2021 21:12

And it's on now - missed the start, but you could still get in for the premiere screening chat with KJ:

Keira comes across as so likeable.

That was a good interview and it was great to hear a more in-depth discussion about her story.

I think Triggernometry have been trying to get Keira on their show as well - I hope she agrees. It's probably fair that she spoke with Kellie-Jay first, though. It sounds as though the Adult Human Female campaign was a turning point in her journey.

MerchedCymru · 22/01/2021 23:29

Warrior women the pair of them. Very different personalities but the same courage and clarity. So impressive. If you are on here Keira, thank you for being you. I'm sorry you were so badly let down by those who should have cared about and for you. Flowers

JoodyBlue · 23/01/2021 09:28

I have only just watched half of the interview - pressed for time this morning. But I wanted to post here to say that it is a lovely interview so far (around 25 mins in) between 2 extraordinary women. The fact that Kellie is a mum is apparent to me in the way she questions gently, respectfully, kindly and supportively. Keira is a powerhouse. So nice to see this and glad that Kellie had this interview first, it is right.

UppityPuppity · 23/01/2021 10:43

And amazing that the billboard supported her transition!

It sounds as though the Adult Human Female campaign was a turning point in her journey.

That’s really interesting to know.

We all owe K-J, KB and the billboard an awful lot!

Every action can ripple far and wide!

Bluesername · 23/01/2021 10:46

Great to see this, thanks for letting us know

PopperUppleton · 23/01/2021 11:58

Four little words can change someone's world: Woman: adult human female

Berthatydfil · 23/01/2021 12:44

I watched it. Kiera is amazing so honest and frank, and intelligent.
I think it should be required watching for all teenage girls.

GeneralOutlook · 23/01/2021 13:38

Fantastic interview. It was good to hear the in-depth story of Keira. Amazing woman

Biological Women's Hour - good name.

YepCuntyIsTaken · 23/01/2021 18:04

"Biological Womans Hour" love it!

thanks 2 fingers up to BBC WH

Melroses · 23/01/2021 18:28

She is an inspiration.

I loved (and still love) the Woman: Adult Human Female. How you do it is how you are. There is no wrong way to be an Adult Human Female.

childbearinghipsterF · 23/01/2021 23:10

Keira is wonderful.

PatsArrow · 23/01/2021 23:49

KJ has done some great interviews recently.

This Keira Bell interview was fantastic. Really good to hear KB talk more about herself and how she feels about what's happened to her.

The other great interviews KJ did recently was with Leishe (sp? Sorry Gaelic name) of The Countess didn't fight for this. Absolutely fascinating talk between the two women about Ireland's self ID situation and much more. I could have listened for hours.

NonnyMouse1337 · 24/01/2021 10:50

That was a great episode. So lovely to hear that it was the Adult Human Female campaign that played a part in helping Kiera during her detransition journey. Shows you how important such types of activism are. For all the hate Posie Parker gets, she has done something really incredible with her simple yet striking message. Even if Kiera Bell was the only woman to have been influenced by seeing it, it led to her eventually bringing the case against the Tavistock. Both women will find a place in the history books.

It's a testament to how all our actions, even the ones that seem irrelevant or not particularly grand, all add up and can change the nature of the discourse around us. Smile

SisterWendyBuckett · 24/01/2021 15:17

Wow! You couldn't get a more fitting first episode of Biological Woman's Hour!

Keira is truly an awesome human being and a shining example to all of us of how to be a courageous woman.

ChattyLion · 24/01/2021 15:36

This was a brilliant podcast. They are both so awesome. I respect Keira so much for putting her personal privacy on the line all the time to fight for others. I hope the website she talked about comes out soon. She’s been such a beacon of honesty and of refusal to be lied to and harmed any more. She’s achieved so much at such a young age. Flowers

jeaux90 · 24/01/2021 16:28

I had a tear in my eye at the end. Keira is just so humble about what she has done.

Amazing woman
