This was shared with me in another group - apparently the UN women's unit (UN Women) are wavering on the definition of woman and sometimes indicating they think anyone who says they have a female "gender identity" is a woman.- do come along and make it clear what women's views on this actually are!
While the TRAs may also of course show up (especially since I've shared this here), it is to be hoped that lots of actual women stating their opinions might carry more weight.
From Women's Human Rights Campaign:
Dear Signatory,
I'm writing to ask if you would come along (virtually via the internet) to the United Nations NGO forum that runs alongside the Commission on the Status of Women this March. It's a ten day event that you can drop in and out of. There are webinars and events run by women's groups from all over the world and there are often really interesting speakers.
Currently the UN women's unit (UN Women) are waivering on the definition of woman and sometimes indicating they think anyone who says they have a female "gender identity" is a woman. We want to participate in lots of meetings, and where possible, make points in the chat, or ask questions or share links to the Declaration and other documents, to show that many of us don't want woman to be redefined in this way.
Please register to be an advocate. It's free. You don't have to attend many meetings, but registering will mean you can. It will give you access to the programme.
This is the link for you to register:
