Biden will address your 'gender identity' rather than your sex.

Biden says Dr Rachel Levine will bring the steady leadership and essential expertise we need to get people through this pandemic — no matter their zip code, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability — and meet the public health needs of our country in this critical moment and beyond

So, when Biden says 'woman' I assume he means your gender identity and not your sex. What about those women who cast aside crappy gender stereotypes which are detrimental to women.

TL;DR Don't know if that means it's ok not to get people through this pandemic because of their natal and immutable sex. But don't worry, if you adopt a gender identity, the new administration will get you through it.

Still ok to f*ck women over I guess, 'cos sex not as much a thing as say 'zip code'. Issues related to zip code much more important than issues because of your sex. If you don't see natal and immutable sex, then you can't see sex discrimination. Maybe it all disappears in the first hour of the new administration. Kinda Trump, really. Don't look for it or call it by it's name and hey presto, it's gone.

I hope the huge created industry of child medicalisation doesn't get carte blanche to soar in the US?

Posie has a plan - and a good old rant!

”Bye bye Miss American Rights . . .”

@Delphinium20 Looks like sex based rights in sport are gone now. But perhaps this will be the catalyst for the US to wake up to this inequality?

@FunkBus

Multiracial whiteness must be the most racist thing I've ever heard in my fucking life, are you fucking kidding me?!?! "If you think like this, you're no longer the actual race you were born into, you're actual whitey in disguise."
Yes it's repulsive isn't it? So-called "progressives" seem to be completely blind to their own racism though.

@cateycloggs

I was going to mention primogeniture and the British House of Lords but I was going on too long. Do you mean tra won't go there because its too much trouble when other targets are easier? Maybe they could be infiltrated and a push made to put the cat amongst the pigeons. I never thought the CofE would have women priests but now they do despite the most conservative opponents trying to resist on grounds that women priests are transvestites for wearing long gowns. Not what Jesus intended obviousl. Sorry more sarciness.
Gender ideology activists won’t attack the GRA exemption for primogeniture because it benefits men. Simple. I can guarantee if primogeniture benefited women they would be all over it.

Thanks for the breakdown. I was totally flummoxed by what they meant.

Yes. Totally racist. It's another long windbag way of calling someone a coconut.

NF types would spit in your face, punch you in the stomach and tell you "Black and Pakis are shit."

These Left political types kick you in the back of the knee, smash you with a rainbowed baseball bat and tell you you should have "Been kind". Then sign away the Rights of Black and Asian women in law.

@Distractable I saw the executive order late last night and haven't delved into it much because I feel weary (must rally soon). We knew getting Democrats and all the good stuff like Paris Climate Agreement meant this would be the fight we signed up for. Sigh.

Because this is an executive order, it can only impact some areas of US government, like bathrooms in public schools. On its face it does not override Title IX (sports), but we expect lawsuits to challenge that. On the flip side, lawsuits can (and will) help us challenge this executive, but it will be lots of fights all over in states. Because it's not a federal Act signed into law (like the Equality Act could become), this executive order can be tested and much easier to overturn...which is what we are hoping for. I'm pretty sure there will be court challenges. There's a lot to be hopeful for.

What really gets me is how this is buried in the news. I can't find a reputable headline (yet), but I'm still drinking my coffee and might not be emotionally ready to engage fully and trying to focus on the positives: Just saved democracy and no violence yesterday, which is a relief.

TheFleegleHasLanded, I actually meant would tra be more reluctant to get into conflict with the Catholic church because of its international reach and the continuing commitment of some (a majority - I have no idea) believers to the traditions of the priesthood. Biden would not want to across the heirachy when he had just made such a point of his faitha and commitment to the church being fundamental to his political motivation.
