Court of Appeal Cases re Treatment of DV Victims in the Family Court

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/family-courts-domestic-abuse-victims-court-of-appeal-b1788895.html

This started today, there are 4 plaintiffs involved iirc.

If the Court of Appeal comes down in their favour it could revolutionise the way family courts consider DV, especially coercive control and allegations of rape, when looking at child arrangement orders.

Someone was live-tweeting from the court this morning but I had to go out to work and I've lost the thread now. Will see if I can find it and link it.

This is hopeful.

Do you know if there’s a summary of the four cases anywhere a bit more readable than twitter?

Placemarking to read later, thanks OP

Following this on the above twitter feed. Typical shambles you usually get in courts - leading barrister for one of the mothers (on being asked by the Court) doesn't seems to know what she wants, certainly doesn't seem to want a change to the Child Arrangement Order.

They don't have a transcript of the fact finding hearing that is being appealed but they do have an apology from instructing solicitors. 'Good' says the Judge, probably with some irony.

Article made me feel positive but last poster says the lawyers for the women are fucking it up?

Bloody hell.
