The sinister attempts to silence gender critical academics - Kathleen Stock in the Spectator

A world in which philosophers could have freely and aggressively interrogated these decadent abstractions and public policies which involve vulnerable women would surely have been a better one for detransitioners like Keira Bell or the victims of Karen White. Unfortunately, far too many academic philosophers are more concerned about silencing their colleagues for woke points than having any meaningful, evidence-based debate.

She is right, but the fact is that she also chose to remain silent herself, stating her personal friendship with the York HoD as a reason for not supporting me when York removed my (and that of around 5-7 others) status. Yes, she has experienced some pretty nasty bullying, and it's reprehensible, but I am not sure that she has been especially singled out: she hasn't been sued, lost her position, and been harassed by TRAs to the point she's had to call the police, has she? So, at risk of pushback, I'm feeling somewhat weary with all the POOR ME comments. EVERYONE has experienced pushback, a degree of bullying, and she is not unique - indeed, she should do well out of her book (I hope she does).

Great piece thanks for sharing

I thought this was a good piece. I'd like to bet that very few have had such a pasting for being awarded an OBE.

Positive comments in the Speccie apart from the 'yes you run here when your lefty mags reject blah blah.

A good article - the Spectator continues to cover this issue very well.
