Sorry if this already has a thread... fantastic review by Christina Patterson.

I’m sorry I do t have a share token. I’m reading the physical paper.

Wow that’s a powerful article

Binglebong · 03/01/2021 19:39

Interesting, thanks.

Am I right in thinking that The Times is read by a lot of teachers? I know that it does The Times Educational Supplement.

If so, it's good that this book is getting so much publicity.

That's a great article. Always liked Christina, not surprised she's sane on this issue.

Similar take in the fail, I've downloaded a copy on my kindle.

The Saturday edition also featured a great review by Janice Turner that explains very succinctly the central issues around female to male transition.

Are the Guardian going to pretend this book doesn’t exist?

EdgeOfACoin · 04/01/2021 07:42

If the Guardian does review it, they'll probably get someone like Jolyon or Owen Jones or Susie Green to write the review.

But I don't think they will review it.

Why are so many newspapers only reviewing it now? The book was first available several months ago, although admittedly in limited formats initially. Great that newspapers are recognising it exists at last but book reviewers/ those who decide a book review should be published are a load of scared sheep.
If Keira et al hadn't won would they have dared praise the book?

It's released this week in the UK.

It's very good - I've nearly finished my copy and would definitely recommend reading it.

Great review.

There was a new edition published on the 31st December, which I think is the first UK edition. The earlier one was published in the US.
