The lack of information in that "article" from the Mirror (that was lifted from the Star) is staggering. All we are told is that it was a "transgender parade" yet Yuri doesn't seem to be a transwoman.
This, for someone like me, is an invitation to fill in the blanks. All I could think of this morning was - Yuri turns up at the parade with his big old beard, dressed in stereotypically feminine clothing with his girlfriend and the people in the parade think that's a bit weird (no stonewall in Kazakhstan to educate them that it's fine, really) and they tell him to do one. He stands his ground because he's a big lad and then one of the real transwomen has a pop at him with erm real violence...and sadly he gets hurt. Or something.
