It looks as though the SNP wont be able to ride roughshod over parents and will have to take more views into account. I guess not matter how woke some in the SNP are, their electability and continued support requires a more balanced view. fingers crossed but the KB case wont have gone unnoticed no matter how different the SNP want to be

I wrote to John Swinney months ago on the issue of schools affirming behind parents’ backs. He made it clear that the same old groups were contributing to the guidance (and so gave me no hope that it will be anything but affirm, affirm, affirm). He said that parental involvement would be included but honestly, my bet would be that it is included only in a “schools must work to win over ‘unsupportive’ parents” type of way.
