Louise Staley MP - response speech about the Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill. Brings up lots of points including why TW are pushing for mostly girls to change gender identity.

"The Change and Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Bill 2020 outlaws gay conversion practices. As the same-sex attraction is an innate and normal sexual orientation, such attempts were not only often barbaric; they were fundamentally useless. To put beyond doubt that Victoria rejects any attempt to change that which is not broken is to be applauded. I support that intent of the Bill.

The Bill also requires the affirmation of self-identified gender identity with any moves to assist a person with gender dysphoria. This Bill is bad for women and particularly bad for girls."

Yes - this stuff is being debated in our parliament, and we are unable to talk about it on one of the only forums available to us. (See other thread for context - even though it seems like crazy ranting, it’s actually quite devastating).

Wow. That was brilliant. Also, in context, it was brave. Well done Louise.
