This really disturbed me. I don't read Cycling News as I have less than zero interest in it, but DH is a long-time fan. He pointed this out and was horrified. I am more so.
www.cyclingnews.com/news/rapha-wholeheartedly-condemns-chloe-dygerts-social-media-conduct/
The crux is that "Dygert 'liked' a Tweet that referenced Trump’s proposal to allow single-sex homeless shelters to refuse transgender people and stated: "Men who self-identify as women, are not actually women, just as children who self-identify as mermaids, are not actually fish.""
What really concerned me was this comment: "However, we also believe that trusting the ability of people to change is key to reaching any form of meaningful reconciliation. Having spoken to her at length, we believe that Chloé has the capacity and the will to listen, learn and to change."
Why should she change? She's right FFS.
I don't know how to react to this or what to do about it.
For those of you who may not know Rapha manufacture radically over-priced, style-over-function, cycling gear. So I don't even have anything to boycott.
