This really disturbed me. I don't read Cycling News as I have less than zero interest in it, but DH is a long-time fan. He pointed this out and was horrified. I am more so.

www.cyclingnews.com/news/rapha-wholeheartedly-condemns-chloe-dygerts-social-media-conduct/

The crux is that "Dygert 'liked' a Tweet that referenced Trump’s proposal to allow single-sex homeless shelters to refuse transgender people and stated: "Men who self-identify as women, are not actually women, just as children who self-identify as mermaids, are not actually fish.""

What really concerned me was this comment: "However, we also believe that trusting the ability of people to change is key to reaching any form of meaningful reconciliation. Having spoken to her at length, we believe that Chloé has the capacity and the will to listen, learn and to change."

Why should she change? She's right FFS.

I don't know how to react to this or what to do about it.

For those of you who may not know Rapha manufacture radically over-priced, style-over-function, cycling gear. So I don't even have anything to boycott.

There's already a long thread on this: "clothing manufacturer censures..." (sorry, on phone, no link).

It's bloody horrendous.

That's a slightly selective reading; here's the second paragraph:

In addition, screenshots posted by one Twitter user appear to show Dygert 'liked' a post stating "white privilege doesn’t exist", and another that suggested Colin Kaepernick, the American Football player who took the knee during the US national anthem to protest racial inequality and later settled in a collusion case against the NFL, "realized that if he grew an afro and played the part of victim, he could scam the black community out of millions."

The same sinister tone they used with Rosie Duffield. I think Rosie took the piss and said she needed 'reprogramming' or something like that.

Sounded really cult like. Don't worry people, after speaking to her at length, we believe she's now adequately primed for brainwashing and won't be stepping a foot out of line again.

^It wasn't Rapha doing that to Rosie Duffield, obviously. I was referring to the witch hunters in the Labour Party.
