Just musing over the juxtaposition of a merry request for "stories of things that have happened in ladies loos" - can be funny or sad.

Next to a really interesting piece on research around Alzheimer's, women and women's football players. Physiological differences (obviously) but also potentially the impact of women's menstrual cycles on the brain which they think leave the brain vulnerable to more long lasting injury at certain times if the month, however research is currently ongoing and they need t do longitudal studies.

The upshot was that clearly female football and sports is separated from male's for a very real reason.

I know many of you don't listen anymore (I tend to have r4 in the background, turning it off when annoyed.)

So if anyone fancies sending a story of ladies loos in....

Maybe Eddie?

My main memory of ladies loos are my miscarriages. And finding a safe space to hide from boys at secondary school. And men in bars and clubs.

Make up your mind woman's hour.

Yes I just heard that and wondered if any posts from listeners that did not follow the script would be weeded out and not included...

You got there first op! So many elephants trampling around the studio this morning. Especially the neuroscientist on women’s sport and the way hormones affect performance. Yes I think between us we can come up with a few comments on the ladies toilets item...I know they never quote mine though! And the item on pensions managed to ignore the reduction in pension age completely.

Neuro I think you could put together a great woman’s hour programme as guest presenter, with others from here as guests and experts.

It's possible whoever suggested the loos topic might want some evidence of the reality of women's loos - that women don't need them solely because they "just want to pee."
Whether that's what WH wants or not, I hope it's what they get.
