Plan to crowd fund a statue to her for all those interested in more public statues of women.

Hoping this one is clothed....

I wonder, would it matter if the artist is male? I'm conflicted.

I hope it looks like Mary Anning might have looked so it's about her and not the sculptor. Due recognition given to the sculptor of course.

With clothes although maybe her skirt hitched up to scramble through rock pools and over cliffs more easily.

Oh I just love her, there's a lovely book called Remarkable Creatures thats the story of her life in novel form. I've had a couple of trips to Lyme thanks to her inspiration so would fully support a statue

What's lovely is that the campaign was started by an 11 year old fossil mad girl.

I've still got all my fossils. 🐚

My son's personal aim is to find a Dino bone when still a child.
