From the article published on Sunday 22nd:

This Wednesday is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Womenn^, which will see the start of 16 days of activism against gender violence globally. That same day also sees the publication in the UK of a groundbreaking report, Femicide Censuss^, which, for the first time in Britain, analyses the shocking killings of women and girls, from the age of 14 to 100, at the hands of men, over a 10-year period, 2009-2018. The census defines “femicide’” as “men’s fatal violence against women”, and reveals that, on average, a woman was murdered every three days – a horrifying statistic, unchanged over the decade.

I wish the number of women killed was front and centre of all the articles.

With trans day of remembrance on the front page of our work intranet says 400+ transgender people died in the past year worldwide including through violence, self harm and also COVID-19, it would be interesting to juxtapose those figures with the number of women killed by men in the UK alone in the past year, plus the number of women who died through other means including COVID-19 in the past year in UK alone.

Wish I was brave enough to post a comment.

Keir Starmer has posted. Doesn't commit to fight for women though. He's getting a very mixed response.
Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we must demand that the government step up and commit to creating a safer world where women and girls are able to live a life free of violence. #16DaysofActivism2020

I'm still waiting for Angela Rayner's video.
