A powerful but depressing article by Selina Todd in the Times / Sunday Times. Share token:

Doesn't work either, weird.

Igneococcus · 22/11/2020 09:01

It's a problem at the Times by the look of it. I keep trying to see if they sort it.
Comments are starting to appear. I think this will be a busy comment section.

gardenbird48 · 22/11/2020 09:14

Odd, I can’t find on a search either - if I search in Selina or Suzannes names I get the error message - what is the title please and what section is it in?

HecatesCats · 22/11/2020 09:17

It's still on the front page of the app if you look at yesterday, but I don't know how to create a share token in the app, it doesn't have the email icon to generate a link. There are around 55 comments now:

Suzanne Moore defended my views on sex and identity. Now it’s my turn to stand up for her

Internal server problem and given it's a weekend, might be some time before it's fixed.

Igneococcus · 22/11/2020 09:20

In the Online version it's in the News Review section.

highame · 22/11/2020 09:22

Sorry for previous post, incorrect.

If I go via the online version, it's ok. Something wrong with share tokens?

Igneococcus · 22/11/2020 09:25

I can paste the share token into my browser and it works, two different browsers (one that doesn't have my Times password saved) the moment I put it into MN and do preview message and click on the link there it tells me there is an internal failure

accessorizequeen · 22/11/2020 09:40

I’m on my phone - if I click the link it fails but copy & paste it or open in a new tab - it’s fine.

gardenbird48 · 22/11/2020 09:52

Whew found it thanks - I was getting a bit suspicious there for a minute. On the plus side I happened across the article re 3 transgender women convicted for attacking the teenager - they had transgender in the headline which is better than in many reports.

persistentwoman · 22/11/2020 10:11

The article has been moved to the News Review. Hopefully this share token works?

Gary Kavanagh on GRIPT gript.ie/names-338-guardian/ has written a clear and IMO non-partisan summary of Suzanne Moore's treatment by the Guardian, including the contents of the letter decrying her, with the names of all of its signatories.

7Days · 22/11/2020 11:20

I have found Gary Kavangh to be good writer.
He's on gript.ie though, and clicking into that site makes you a stinky far righter!!

(But not to worry, Amnesty Ireland, the womens council of Ireland and all the trans orgs in Ireland have called on Irish media and politicians to deny bigoted GC feminists any platform or representation, on the grounds of stinky far rightness. Just throwing this in for the benefit of UK based feminists who may not be aware - don't see how, as it you Brits who are infecting the pure heart of the noble Irish woman with your bigoted ideas)

dopenguinsdance · 23/11/2020 21:24

7Days...I just googled Suzanne Moore letter Blush but judging by your follow up comment I may indeed be a stinky far -righter

7Days · 23/11/2020 21:37

It's coming from a rw perspective all right. Which is far enough I suppose, its not for me but theres space for all perspectives.
That said, Gary Kavanagh is good. Factual without being polemic. You should read his piece on Peter Tatchell. Lays it all out and well sourced.

dopenguinsdance · 23/11/2020 21:52

Thanks for the tip, 7Days. Personally, I much prefer reading fact than fiction...& then taking a view.

Doryhunky · 23/11/2020 22:48

Selina piece is very good.
