I recently discovered Maya's channel who started posting a month ago.

I found Mayacalm, considerate and extremely insightful due to personal experience, the details of which are shared with stark honesty.

I think others might enjoy this approach and find the videos interesting.

Thank you for sharing this. I agree with you. I found the video moving and self aware. I felt also that I was watching a person coming to terms with being a person and perhaps for the first time a real connection with someone who had transitioned.

Thanks Joody I've watched two more today. Maya shares experiences that are so raw and painful with a kind of graceful honesty. It's not brash and shocking, at least not in delivery, just truthful.

I hope these videos are shared more widely as I truly think it's voices like Maya's that have been drowned out.

Very honest, and very self-aware. They seem at peace with themself.

The dog is lovely.

Thank you for sharing this. Such wise and thoughtful words.

I also appreciate the information on the reality of the surgery on the genitals, and where it is 'anchored' as I always wondered what it attached to (but didn't want to ask, obviously).

Having watched a couple of Maya’s videos; it seems ever clearer that gender dysphoria is rooted not in some spiritual “gender identity”, but childhood trauma. A form of self-protective disassociation, which causes enormous distress.

Girls who attempt the transition to boys are traumatised by the awfulness of living in a body which is commodified and sexualized, perhaps afraid of their sexual orientation.

The third category of adult, male transitioners are probably another category again. The Voldemorts of gender identity politics.

Thanks for posting, I'll make sure I watch the rest, she seems to talk a lot of sense.

Thanks for sharing, I will watch more of Maya's videos.

I tend to mentally put transwomen into one of two groups - those who want to stand out (attention seeking types) and those who want to fit in and Maya would be in the second category based on what I just watched. I have no idea of how tall Maya is, or how she would appear in real life, the way she walks and carries herself for example, but I read her as female from her appearance and posture and the way she spoke on this video.

It is people like Maya who have been so badly let down by the TRA movement. I hope that she gets more coverage and that those in power allow voices like hers to be heard. I wonder if she knows about or is responding to the call for evidence, for example?
