Sad few days

Im feeling rather sad at the moment due to the fact on two separate occasions two women have said some pretty shocking things to me.
The first occasion a stranger started some small talk which ended in a mention of the Scottish family party and that i should give it a look. Unaware i smiled and said sure. To say i was shocked at the website would be an understatement.
Today this happened
Women: you have your hands full ( i have 3 young children)
Me: yeah
Women: do you want more?
Me: no 3 is enough
Women : well its up to the father isn't it ?
Wtf is happening?

which specific things about the Scottish Family Party do you find concerning - they are anti-abortion (I don't agree with that stance) but also anti Named Person Scheme (which I would hugely agree with as the Named Person Scheme sounded terrible). When people point me at stuff like that I generally smile and nod and then get drunk and totally forget what they mentioned.

The 'up to the father' comment is totally bizarre - I would just dismiss and resolve to avoid that person in future.

Those things seem to have hit you quite hard imo OP - is there something underlying that's bothering you? If you are in Scotland I would be extremely worried about what the politicians are doing to women and women's rights - is that something you are up on?

I've never heard of The Scottish Family Party. They seem a completely fringe organisation- sensible on a couple of issues but bonkers on most. I wouldn't personally lose any sleep over them or give them a second thought.
