Irish schools - Next week they’re getting training on LGBT and what’s being taught is worrying

Just saw this on twitter.
Some secondary schools have signed up to this training for next week.

  • Lesbians are mainly attracted to women (the ‘mainly’ implies that they might also sleep with men)
  • Gays are male identified people attracted to other male identified people
  • no such thing as homosexuals
  • Trans students should be allowed to sleep with the opposite sex on overnight trips.

BeLonGTo are giving the training. They’re a joke of an organisation!

I’d advise you all to contact your child’s school to see of this is happening in your school.

Anyone interested in helping us out on this please. Do contact The Countess (@TCDFFT) on Twitter.
We have a lot of infiltration to weed out in Ireland and all helping hands are welcome

peanut2017 · 12/11/2020 22:01

Any other way to help as I'm not on Twitter but would love to help out anyway I can

It seems that there are so many schools that are using this!

I rang my girls and my boys secondary school and both were using aspects of it.

They are now no longer. They were shocked at the lack of safe guarding. The lovely young male teacher I spoke to in the boys school will actually speak to his teacher friends in mixed sex schools.

Wtf? No such thing as homosexuals? What is that meant to mean?

XXSex · 13/11/2020 16:50

Gays are attracted to opposite gender e.g. a male identified person attracted to another male identified person.

A lesbian is mainly attracted to other women (so there’s room to see if she just hasn’t met the right man yet!)

Homosexuality doesn’t make it into the list of definitions. There’s no such thing anymore ShockAngry

Oh maith thú, OP. That's great.

My DC are primary age so I've no secondary contacts, but I'll be keeping a keen eye out for "updated" national school training from belongTo. 😮

OhHolyJesus · 13/11/2020 17:33

Is this in connection to anti-bullying week next week?

If so it's just an excuse to tag so-called transphobia onto homophobia.

It's likely, I would suggest, that this is a broad topic, broad enough to bring in little nuggets of inaccurate shite and extreme organisations which are against the statutory guidance. Watch out for assemblies, it won't just be PSHE.

XXSex · 13/11/2020 17:43

It seems to be. There’s an Amber Flag up for grabs too for mental health.

Yes indeed.

"Low self esteem" is one flare, also being quiet and shy.

Ask to see your schools RSE. In particular anything for 5th and 6th class. My primary schools was ALL about the gender. When I asked them to specifically discuss gender non conformance as well as transgender they refused. I was livid. I brought it up at every start of year class meeting with all the parents present. They still didn’t change it.

It's very odd. It gives definitions of heterosexual, bisexual and pan sexual but not homosexual.

XXSex · 13/11/2020 22:08

Yep dido we’ve gotten rid of all the gays Wink

Perhaps it's omitted as it goes without saying?

littlbrowndog · 13/11/2020 22:22

What is this indoctrination going on

What’s wrong with being a lesbian woman or a gay man

Why are they using self identifying.

Is being a lesbian woman or a gay man a choice as it seems to be what they are saying as it’s something you can self identify into

Very homophobic

No it’s deliberate.

Gay is a person attracted to the opposite GENDER e.g. male identified person being attracted to a male identified person.

They are deliberately leaving out people who are same SEX attracted.

Likewise a lesbian is mainly attracted to women. It leaves room for them to fancy men too.

Gaslighting

From Posie:

If you are part of any Irish group opposing this nonsense please let SFW know and we'll pass your details on to our supporters.

Time to join up!

(I can't share the graphic but it had a glossary if terms from Belong.)

Extremely homophobic.
EyesOpening · 14/11/2020 13:48

Gay is a person attracted to the opposite GENDER I think you mean the same not opposite!
I’m wondering though, if they’re claiming it’s same gender, not sex, then you have to find someone the same gender as one of the 364 other ones (if you’re not male or female) that you are, in order to be gay? What’s the opposite of your gender if you’re one of those other 364, if you declare yourself heterosexual, if heterosexual is attracted to the opposite gender?

XXSex · 14/11/2020 13:50

eyes oops! Yes I do mean same. And I laughed at your 364 Grin
