Festival of Politics is on next week. There are some interesting topics, although it's online this year. All are free but booking is necessary.

One event that might be of interest is

What has been the pandemic’s impact on female equality?
Saturday, 21 November
Time: 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Have women been unfairly impacted by the pandemic? If so, is a lack of political representation to blame?

Chaired by Gillian Martin MSP, Member of the Equalities and Human Rights Committee, this panel includes:

Dr Angela O’Hagan, Deputy Director of the WiSE Centre for Economic Justice, Convenor of the Scottish Women’s Budget Group

Hannah Stevens, Director of The Parliament Project

Talat Yaqoob, Chair of Women 50:50 and member of National Advisory Council on Women and Girls

David Devenney, Director, Fathers Network

The event is run in partnership with The Parliament Project.

There's also another topic that might be worth attending, if only to remind the panel about women's rights.

Scotland 2030: What do we want, and how can we get there?

Bump!

There's also events on disabilities and racism, along other topics.
