Perth's new Lord Mayor issues grovelling apology after saying that if you've got a penis you're a bloke

Perth's new Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas has vowed to undergo 'transgender awareness training' after stating 'if you've got a penis, you're a bloke' on live radio.

Mr Zempilas angered transgender activists on Wednesday last week when he told his breakfast radio show it was 'wrong' for people to identify as a gender different from their physical anatomy.

During the tense get-together, the Lord Mayor apologised for the 'pain' he had caused, announcing the whole council would partake in the training.

I was coming on to say we don’t have a mayor in Perth, we have a Provost - but then I saw it was Perth, Australia!

People in public office used to be dragged for using drugs or shagging around or embezzlement. That's all cool now, but mislocate a penis and you are toast!

I just need to point out that Basel is the new mayor of the Perth city council not Perth itself.
The area that he got elected into has the highest lgb population in Perth. It's also very wealthy.
Prior to being elected he promised to get rid of the homeless. Not help them of course, just get rid of them so he didn't have to see them. He also worked for the major media corporation so a huge conflict of interest. Despite all this the good people of his electorate voted him in.
Now he states biological fact suddenly theses a petition to have him removed from office. He's only been in a week.

Zempilas is an absolute arsehole with a bloody awful radio programme, he should never have been made mayor. He got it right on this, though I'm more appalled about his attitudes (and rants) towards the homeless.

So, if I understand this correctly....I may not actually be a bloke as I've assumed throughout my life. 🤔

Notice that his home was vandalised after he issued his grovelling apology. The lesson I take from that is "Sorry" isn't enough to appease the mob, so you might as well stand your ground.

I never heard of him before this, so thanks for all the background info. Just shows how much our language has been overtaken. This will make some public people even more guarded in what they say. Thankfully, the plebs uneducated folk general public still talks of women among ourselves.

I suggest Basil needs to be educated NOT by idealoges who are bullies.
