Just thought this might be of interest.
Today is really special and we're SO proud, as we’re launching a brand new product line:

The HEVEA LOOP cup. Made for women by women.

Made from natural rubber, plastic-free, vegan and compostable, it's a fantastic solution for woman and planet

They had a Facebook post that got piled on by TRAs so they changed it and now the post has been deleted so it's not clear what is going on.

Smurftastic · 02/11/2020 13:21

I saw the fb post, basically some TRAs started shouting to use more inclusive language and Hevea immediately thanked them for showing them the right way and changed it to 'Made by women for people who bleed' or the like Hmm . Didn't take much eh? I am half expecting them to write some statement where they say trans lives matter and J.K. Rowling is the devil...

highame · 02/11/2020 13:29

2 steps forward, 3 steps back. hey ho!

Imnobody4 · 02/11/2020 13:38

Damn and blast it.

OP posts:
SweetGrapes · 02/11/2020 14:11

My son bleeds...
He is a person who bleeds. Regularly too.

He has regular nose bleeds for a long time now.
I must direct him to the site.

Smurftastic · 02/11/2020 14:24

@Sweet I'm not sure what size cup he would need to fit in his nose but it might be worth asking Wink

DidoLamenting · 02/11/2020 14:31

^I have not given birth /
I have given birth by cesarean
Medium flow^

^I have given birth naturally
Heavy flow^

Eh? I'm way past needing this product but I've only given birth once by planned C- section but my periods rivalled the bloodbath in Carrie so I think if I were looking for a product like this I wouldn't go past the home page.

ArabellaScott · 02/11/2020 14:49

I think it's to do with sizing more than blood flow, Dido. Never got on with reusable cups, myself.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/11/2020 14:55

Their Twitter says Made for women by women.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/11/2020 14:55

As does their website!

BlueCatRedCat · 02/11/2020 15:00

I have given birth naturally
Heavy flow

Do they mean vaginally? I gave birth twice through my vagina. I was drugged up to the eyeballs and doctors were poking various implements up there to get the baby out. There was nothing natural about it. Nor is there anything supernatural about a C-section. These happen to stop women and babies dying in childbirth.

The lengths they will go to to avoid talking about female anatomy, whilst pushing a product that can only be used in female anatomy. All to placate a few TRAs. But it's ok to insult women by telling them their birth experiences weren't "natural".

TikTakTikTak · 02/11/2020 15:43

I love the idea of calling caesarean a supernatural birth blue cat! Thanks Grin

The capacity of how much the "natural birth" version will hold is larger than the capacity of the no birth/ C section version.
StillWeRise · 02/11/2020 17:46

the twitter looks fine now
the sizing is to do with your cervix and whether it has ever fully dilated, not to do with how much blood you are likely to lose I imagine

Concestor · 02/11/2020 18:22

Curious, hopefully they are sticking with it then and just deleted that post to avoid issues. They did get support for the original wording so it probably ended up in a bunfight.

Deliriumoftheendless · 02/11/2020 18:25

I don’t get the sizing either I have to have the small speculum whenever I have a smear and I’m a very tiny person but my cervix is too afraid of cups anyway.

DidoLamenting · 02/11/2020 21:48

The "natural birth" one holds 5cl more than the "unnatural birth"
NotTerfNorCis · 03/11/2020 19:38

I see 'vulva' is trending on Twitter after Sex Talk referred to 'vulva people'. twitter.com/ExploreSexTalk/status/1320156260377919491?s=19

That's the new word for women I guess... vulvapeople.

Cailleach1 · 03/11/2020 20:09

I know it isn't funny, but I immediately thought of the Vulcans. It is becoming ridiculous.
