James Barry's justified rage is a joy to behold.

Fantastic

RedDogsBeg · 01/11/2020 20:11

But, but, but there are NO problems with self-ID in Ireland Hmm

Cuntysnark · 01/11/2020 20:26

Twitter are removing likes from this. I cannot for the life of me think why...

PapsofJura · 01/11/2020 20:33

A fantastic article but of course the issues raised would never happen here would they.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 01/11/2020 20:40

Bloody marvellous.

HecatesCats · 01/11/2020 20:48

Brilliant read - straight to the point. Wake the fuck up Ireland

Siameasy · 01/11/2020 22:41

Brilliantly put.
We are constantly told that countries with self ID have no issues.

Flowers

That most definitely needs to be shared to the Irish LGB Alliance page (and other worldwide LGB Alliance pages).

It is accurate. Blistering. And belongs in ALL Irish newspapers.

All I can say is Jesus Christ. A violent criminal identifies as a woman and self proclaimed feminists fight for HIS right to be housed in a women's prison? How did we get here? How?

I didn't know feminists who were involved in Repeal are the ones supporting Barbie. I actually lived in Ireland during that time, I volunteered for the Repeal campaign so I might even personally know some of the women supporting this. I'm not even gonna google who they are because if it turns out that I do know them, it will break my heart.

All of the women who I met who did work on the Repeal campaign striked me as so intelligent and compassionate towards women.... I guess their compassion towards women stops when their safety and dignity gets in the way of validating men's feelings. A shame.

FWRLurker · 02/11/2020 03:06

I’m assuming the previously MRA now woke rebuttal of “but women commit sexual assault toooooo” is to be found beneath?

It was all part of the plan, I'm afraid. Many of those women may well have been duped, but the end result is the same.

Thanks Sunset.

Bump.

Wow, that's crazy. And even crazier us that Ireland is always used as an example of how self ID is all working fine. Irish libfebs are a fucking disgrace. In fact I'm personally convinced at this point that Liberal feminism in general is just the public facing wing of the mens rights movement at this point. Every single one of them seems to actively hate women and be committed to male supremacism.

littlbrowndog · 02/11/2020 09:46

I follow James on twitter

James is great and that twitter string was indeed great

I do wonder sometimes. Female socialisation values being good and kind. It rewards women for this because they are expected to do the heavy lifting when it comes to caring and domestic roles. By wholeheartedly backing 'the most oppressed group' these women get to feel extra good about themselves and imagine they're earning much sought after social brownie points, without having to think too hard. Because earning Brownie points is important as a reward for good behaviour. They can't see that it's if morphed into policing wrong think and speech on behalf of a group, backed by a powerful lobby, which intended to align with them all along in order to bring about massive societal shift undercover (see Denton). Being on the same side as Stonewall is good, so it can't be bad to support a violent rapist being housed with women, can it? Their behaviour to females becomes anything but good or kind. Secondly internalised misogyny, women are socialised to put men first and look down on other women (particularly older women), so it makes complete sense for them to behave like this, because they know deep down the reality behind the mantra TWAW.
