This is brilliant.

Oh that’s really good. Very clear.

V small criticism- I just wish they’d say children are given ‘unlicensed drugs’ rather than ‘puberty blockers’. The uninitiated may believe these are legitimate medicines designed and tested for this purpose rather than Frankenmedicine.

persistentwoman · 31/10/2020 14:24

Wow! That is excellent and clearly articulates what so many of use believe.

ArabellaScott · 31/10/2020 14:32

Excellent. Very clear. I hope the BBC takes note.

Doyoumind · 31/10/2020 14:37

I completely agree that if the BBC wants to regain its crebility as an organisation built on impartiality then they need to move away from their current gender ideology position.

I'm just not sure how hopeful I am.

FindTheTruth · 31/10/2020 15:15

wow, incredible.

love this: "The danger of unthinking acceptance of some Pride activists’ demands was summed up for us in a comment last year at Trans Pride in Brighton when one leading trans activist said: “if gender is on a spectrum then homosexuality doesn’t really exist”

NewlyGranny · 31/10/2020 15:47

The percentage of transwomen employed by the BBC matches that of self-declared transwomen in UK prisons, male and female estates. The Beeb has fallen to the activists.

Shedbuilder · 31/10/2020 16:16

That's a great letter and makes it really clear that LGB and T are not mutually compatible.

Imnobody4 · 31/10/2020 17:18

I'm pleased this has been sent directly and openly to Tim Davie, Director General. I think this is pretty hard for him to ignore, trans employees are bound by the same rules of impartiality as everyone else.

The baroness has written too. God I hope I’m as sharp as she is when I’m in my 60s as she is (or even now for that matter).

Shedbuilder · 31/10/2020 21:20

Baroness Nicholson is 79.

Whatwouldscullydo · 31/10/2020 21:22

Excellent letter.
No hate just facts

Let's see the response..

FairFridaythe13th · 31/10/2020 21:25

@Shedbuilder

Baroness Nicholson is 79.
79? So much energy... so sharp too... she puts me to shame. Must try harder...
highame · 01/11/2020 08:26

I love that the LGB Alliance is really making its presence felt.

LittleCabbage · 01/11/2020 08:46

Yes, a very clear, reasonable letter. I wish they had also mentioned the CBBC episode where one of the Operation Ouch doctors encourages a child to wear a chest binder. I don't think it was actually an Operation Ouch episode.

But overall, a great letter and I will be very interested to see the response.

2Rebecca · 01/11/2020 09:20

Excellent

IwishNothingButTheBestForYou2 · 01/11/2020 09:48

Good news. Thank you OP.

FindTheTruth · 02/11/2020 13:13

Bump.

As there are 2 new threads on MN re Stonewall getting taxpayers cash, this letter/thread makes several good points about who Stonewall represent

a lobby that claims to speak for all LGB and T people but doesn’t

In the last decade and at astonishing speed, what was once a movement that pursued equality under the law has morphed into something very different with multiple aims

clear statement by Kate Harris, Bev Jackson, Malcolm.
