I just caught the last 15 minutes of Inside Science on R4 - most of which was an interesting discussion with Linda Scott about her book The Double X Economy. Worth a listen, and maybe worth a read.

Yes, it was interesting. There was a lot in there to think about.

The point about how even in countries which have achieved legal equality there's still the legacy of past inequalities was put well - I'd somehow not realised the discrepancy in land ownership was quite that marked in the U.K. (I wonder if entities such as the crown estates can be assigned as belonging to either sex?)
