Charities involved in WillAid that are not steeped in gender ideology

Sorry for an incredibly lazy post but I'm drafting a will during Will Aid month and will be making a donation to a charity as part of the scheme. I'd like to support women and children but don't want to inadvertently fund charities that seem comfortable with safeguarding breeches.

Does anyone know which of these would fit the brief the most? I've ruled out the NSPCC but haven't been keeping up to date with current happenings so don't know whether Save the Children or Action Aid would be suitable instead!

With a bit of luck it'll be many years before you die and there's no knowing what tack your chosen charity will have taken by then, so there are no guarantees.

When I made a will two years ago my solicitor advised not leaving a specified sum to a specified charity because there have been instances of charities making life difficult for executors — for example, putting pressure on executors to pay out before a property has been sold. Wills are in the public domain and apparently charities routinely look for specific bequests and follow them up. Instead I have left a specified amount to be allocated to charity in my will, with a separate letter to the executor saying which charities or sorts of charity I wish the money to go to. I can rewrite that letter without charge at any time, so saves on legal costs if I have a change of mind.

This is why, where once upon a time I might have left money to a charity in my will, nowadays there's no way I'd run the risk.

Generally I think the more international a charity is, the less woke. Wokeness is an indulgence that richer countries accept. When you are worried about children surviving, you’re less likely to pander to this sort of stuff. What about a charity that helps women and girls with f.g.m?

How about the world's first fistula hospital, founded by a woman, named after her and treating thousands of African women from its base in Addis Ababa?
