Another ESRC funded survey has found what it wanted to find even though it doesn't exist in reality - in this instance having a "legal gender"

I'm not even too bothered about the results of the survey, but just want to post as it seems every few weeks there is some totally nonsensical grad student survey published, and they all seemed to be funded by the ESRC.

My worry is that all of these will be archived in Libraries and at some time in the future research will then prove that we were all trans and have a legal gende.

Respondents said they had had poor experiences with medical professionals, found the need for a mental diagnosis stigmatising and didn’t agree that legal gender should be defined according to a medical model. I wonder what model they would like for legal gender.

I also seems that non-binary is rising up the rankings and my guess is that it will soon overtake trans. Therefore it is likely a battle will ensue. All these 180 or so gender descriptions will need to establish a pecking order. I can't wait for the fallout
