On the one hand, yes absolutely.

On the other, most of the people in the clip are actually talking about sex and sex stereotypes.

Trans man Zorian Clayton - who is co-curator of Found In Translation enbylife.net/2020/09/07/found-in-translation-exhibition/ a trans art exhibition which includes works that contain nudity and addresses the 'trans gaze' - seems to be talking about something completely different when he says 'the rigid view we have of gender is problematic'.

They want boys to be sensitive and nurturing but started the clip with a dismissal of the 'girl toys' such as dolls and kitchens etc, while talking about the exciting 'boy toys' such as lego and a robotic fist. Yes, dolls shouldn't just be marketed at girls and kitchens shouldn't be in sickly shades of pink - but they are valid toys that can be interesting to play with. Ditto unicorns and fairies are just as valid as aliens and monsters that might be marketed for make believe play for boys.

Always gets me seething as it plays out structurally in the generally diminishing of caring roles and professions despite these being the foundational blocks of all human relations.

generally diminishing of caring roles and professions

I am seeing more male nurses and stay-at-home dads than ten, fifteen years ago though. Small steps
