How common is this...

Just saw this on Twitter and it struck a chord.

Essentially it's about women in the beauty/fashion industry having to play the "emperor's new clothes" about men requiring assistance.

You have to get quite physically close to somebody to do their make up. I can see why some women would be uncomfortable getting that close to a male. Enforced participation in somebody's sexual fetish, in the case of AGP, is obviously abusive.

This is an interesting one and also that she specified AGP. Because if a man came over wanting some makeup advice, say a very camp man, I'm pretty sure they'd be fine with it. Because it's part of his male identity.

But AGP is quite different. Being forced to submit to someone's fetish is quite disgusting. Furthermore I have no doubt that if the AGP senses the woman is uncomfortable in that situation, it'll be all the more "thrilling" (or they'd not be there, they'd be doing YouTube tutorials).

But there's not a chance in hell that makeup counters are going to refuse The Most Vulnerable. Head Office will be happy to extend their reach.

Really common, you only have to be in a women make up / hair Facebook group to know there's a huge desire for validation from women from certain people.

Jonathan Yaniv is a great example of this.
