I get the feeling that Ken Bruce may be a tiny bit GC - I've got R2 on to listen tot he tracks of my years and he has just introduced Sam Smith's new track. I was listening out for pronouns, but Ken managed to just not use any.

Something along the lines of 'successful musician, Oscars have been won' and using the name of the artist. Nice one, Ken!

I think they may be an old recording because of Covid. Some they have played in recent weeks have been from years ago.

However I'm delighted they have chosen to broadcast JK's again!

I heard Sam last week on the Radio talking about his new track. He said, 'it is about me pretending to be a woman'. I nearly crashed the car! I just hope he and others continue to tell the truth.

I wasn't sure what time this "slot" came on - haven't listened to the programme for a couple of years. Happy to listen right through today - and the rest of the week - it's the same guest for the week I think.

It was brilliant. We live a long way from where any of the action was happening, but I did take DS to see Japan v Brazil in the women's football in Cardiff - it was awesome, Japan rocked, Brazil were dirty bastards, as always - but then you need a good pantomime villain (in this respect the women's game is very different from the men's game - back then Germany were actually the awesome, skillful, joyous team to watch).

And totally worth the 2 hour, several change train journey, even with a small child!

Started at 11.38, still time to open up BBC Sounds app and rewind.

Way too short but now I feel nostalgic about the 2012 Olympics.
