Queer media has a part to play in this. I was thinking 'constant streams of breaking news' might be a bit hyperbolic, but then I remembered the smear campaign video with its figure of 350plus anti-Rowling articles from Pnk Nws:

I really struggle to understand how Jamie Windust is 'trans'? To me, from what I have seen of them on social media, they are a male who often likes to wear quite out there make up looks, not all that dissimilar from David Bowie back in the day, and sometimes a dress. But other times will wear no makeup and will just be natural.

Is that why they are 'non-binary', because sometimes they wear makeup and sometimes not? It seems so sexist to me, that you cant just be a bloke who loves wearing eccentric clothes and make up!
