Queer press fights itself

From Jamie Windust of GayTimes:

www.gaytimes.co.uk/life/trans-people-have-bigger-fish-to-fry-so-stop-giving-gaslighting-transphobes-your-headlines/

Queer media has a part to play in this. Constant streams of ‘breaking news’ exclaiming that Hagrid – yes Hagrid – is now a transphobe, trickling out [...] It’s not important to me, and us, as trans people, to know that a celebrity doesn’t like us. Yes, it’s important that we condemn and explain what people like Ms Rowling have said, but do we need rolling news of her every breath? No.

I was thinking 'constant streams of breaking news' might be a bit hyperbolic, but then I remembered the smear campaign video with its figure of 350plus anti-Rowling articles from Pnk Nws:
www.thestatemedia.com/2020/09/16/jk-rowling-and-the-vicious-smear-campaign/

Time for PN to just stop? The bullying is just embarrassing.

Well I wish they would, because I still haven't heard anyone give a coherent explanation of what it was she said that was 'transphobic'.

He's right about the use of outrage click bait, but the rest of it is bloody terrible. What a pompous dick.

Did anyone else.get a pop--up saying "LGBTQI+ media is dying" and asking you to subscribe?

I really struggle to understand how Jamie Windust is 'trans'? To me, from what I have seen of them on social media, they are a male who often likes to wear quite out there make up looks, not all that dissimilar from David Bowie back in the day, and sometimes a dress. But other times will wear no makeup and will just be natural.

Is that why they are 'non-binary', because sometimes they wear makeup and sometimes not? It seems so sexist to me, that you cant just be a bloke who loves wearing eccentric clothes and make up!
