Seriously, is there a proper glossary of all the verbotene Wörter that might result in a strike?

It feels so frustrating when some really interesting and thought-provoking conversations disappear just because someone has used some wordage that's deemed unacceptable. Without a complete list, we are all at risk of transgressing.

I'd rather MNHQ just delete the actual word or phrase, but leave the thread.

We've asked on sitestuff for more information, a list, or some explanation of how some threads can be taken down by one or two posters deliberately bombing them, Xanthan. Not had a response yet, afaik.

Probably. It seems freedom of speech and dealing things using humour is verboten.

I used it in that thread. I can't see why it's not allowed.

I noticed one last night which was a couple of months old, was specifically about a bbc program on that date, so no apparent reason to revive it. But it was, specifically to complain that 'alphabetti' is homophobic (which is odd, as most people here are fine with the original first three letters which are the only ones relating to sexuality). So, it seems possible someone has noticed that this term (commonly used elsewhere) is now apparently verboten here, and went searching. The catch-22 is that if you notice this type of thing it's hard to warn others without violating the troll hunting ban. So, perhaps need to report it, point out the dates, and that as far as we know there was no perceived issue at the time of posting, and question the motivations of the reanimator.

Whereas others argue that the reasons used to justify endless addition of letters to 'LGB' are homophobic.

Similarly, I think that its sexist to claim that 'women' are formless voids.
