Stuck in Ukraine with Surrogate Born Twins

This isn't really so shocking since the stories about the babies being abandoned there during lock down, what is shocking is the level of entitlement of this couple.

With two young kids at home, with a grandparent caring for them and not being able to return home - what did you expect?

Also, they had never seen their eldest son play football, what ever? My heart bleeds.

Hope the women who have birth to the twin girls is ok and has been one of the ones who go paid and got to go home.

Shitty written article too

Now, they're trapped Kiev, and it will be at least 16 weeks before they're allowed to return.

This week Beau, their eldest, won an award at footy. His parents have never seen him pay football, and they've never seen him win an award.

Yes it was badly written, basically the couple doing a 'poor us', puff piece.

They already have two sons, one of them only 2, no wonder he cries when he sees them on the screen.

I imagine they chose the Ukraine due to the low cost to buy babies but as this was a multiple birth I really hope the mum is ok, she didn't get a mention really, only 'born via a surrogate', these mystical creatures who can create and deliver a human life and they simply waft away in a cloud of smoke, never to be seen again. How very useful they are.

I don't feel sorry for these people at all.

I feel sorry for their two boys, who will be fairly traumatised I imagine, if only temporarily, the grandmother with arthritis looking after them and the woman who will consider herself lucky to have pocketed a few grand for her services and to have been able to walk (or waddle) away with her life and her health, one hopes...and of course the two baby girls who will probably never meet the woman who have birth to them. I hope they are told the truth and don't feel 'purchased'.

Arlo, two, doesn't understand what's going on but cries when he sees his parents on a video call. Candice and Chris are worried he will end up with abandonment issues.

FFS.

saw a wonderful quote on twitter-'surrogacy not only creates a demand for the babies but also for the absence of the Mother.' or something like that....struck a chord, its just wrong to wilfully create a situation where the mother cannot raise her child as the child is removed from her.

Amazing how a woman who has needed an emergency hysterectomy after childbirth is still happy for another woman to take on the same risk on their behalf. Greater risk in fact as their surrogate mother was pregnant with twins. Why would you do that??
