I think this might be a genuine female - a transman who decided to re-identify as female on arrest, presumably to avoid men's prison.

"transman" was the first thought I had on seeing the photo, and there seem to be some people in the Twitter comments saying it too - one of them said there was evidence somewhere in the thread but the thread is massive so I didn't look.

Yep, that's a dude. Seen a lot of these recently. Future historians are going to wonder why the crime rate for women suddenly jumped up around now.

Adding testosterone to a female body doesn't just grow those massive neck muscles, it gives the person male emotions, too. Interesting that MtF crimes get reported as women's crimes while FtoM crimes get reported as - yep, women's crimes!

I'd like to know if the people who insist TWAW and TMAM would insist on putting this trans man in a men's prison even if they don't want to be in one. The argument given for even dangerous trans women being put in with women is that there are dangerous "ciswomen" too and obviously it's up to the prison to keep all prisoners safe. I presume the same goes for trans men too? Stick them in the prison that "matches their gender" and hope that the protections in place don't fail. You can't have a few trans men fucking the ideology up for the important trans folk, I suppose.

Let's face it, 'woman' is the gender to choose, if you've been charged with a crime, isn't it? Whatever your sex, it's going to have a better outcome for the person charged. Just unfortunately the subsequent effects on women in prison, statistics, crime profiling, etc, will not be good. But it's only the old-fashioned type of woman who will be affected, so I suppose we'll just need to shut up and take it.

Sums up how hypocritical the gender ideology is, really. If TMAM and TWAW, why is it this transman has decided they're a woman now they've been arrested?

We've been led to believe the word 'woman' is really triggering for dysphoric transmen, so much so that companies and health campaigners the world over are tying themselves in knots to try and avoid using the word. How strange that there's suddenly no such issue identifying as a woman when prison is on the horizon...
