If I ever find myself in Sheffield, I will go and have a drink or two in that pub!

MillyMollyFarmer · 11/09/2020 08:12

Now compare her amazing response to the Co- op, a far bigger and more powerful company... but actually weaker than this one lady with one pub.
Love it.

WeAreGerbil · 11/09/2020 08:15

What an amazing woman! Wish I could say this, but unfortunately my industry is too woke and I might never work again.

highame · 11/09/2020 08:33

What a response, so fantastic. Think some organisations should ask if they can 'borrow her backbone'

teawamutu · 11/09/2020 08:35

I think the Harlequin is the local in Badley Fuckitt Grin

MartiniDry · 11/09/2020 09:17

The click here link isn't working for me. Can anyone oblige with another please?

TheFleegleHasLanded · 11/09/2020 09:33

Liz has been under fire for a long time because of her defence of women’s rights, including from two local Labour councillors. Much of it stems from her hosting of a WPUK meeting:

She has also written quite a bit about Jared O’Mara; remember him?

Definitely!
Muttonindistress · 11/09/2020 09:59

Thank you for the links Fleegle. She’s bloody brilliant. I am following her on twitter now and will be enthusiastically supporting the campaign to re-popularise the word wazzock.

KindergardenCentre · 11/09/2020 10:57

Epic woman.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/09/2020 12:12

I love her, have followed her on Twitter since the local councillor tried to cause trouble for her, and will definitely pop in should I ever be in Sheffield.

Oblomov20 · 11/09/2020 12:27

Ha ha. God she's good! So well written.

Joisanofthedales · 11/09/2020 12:44

I love this woman and wish her every good thing she desires. Flowers
Also yah boo sucks to the Labour councillors who are giving her grief. Wazzocks!!!

BoogieFeet · 11/09/2020 13:21

Excellent response. If I find myself in Sheffield I know where I’m going for a drink!

nauticant · 11/09/2020 13:39

If you're looking to go into the weekend with a smile on your face, here's how the article went down on twitter:

Whatsnewpussyhat · 11/09/2020 13:39

They truely hate women who don't do as they're told.

They also have zero clue about the real world.

ButterflyBitch · 11/09/2020 15:45

That was amazing Grin

highame · 11/09/2020 16:07

thanks for that nauticant, that's more smiling than I needed Grin was still laughing and Liz's letter

Isn't it strange how GC people, when they stand up and holler get more business, more acolades, (sometimes more shit ) more everything. It's good for business if only the co-op and virgin gyms etc got their brains thinking

EarthSight · 11/09/2020 16:10

@DeliciouslyFemale

The responses the pub twitter account are hilarious. I actually think the usual suspects are too afraid to go up against her online. She’d chew them up and spit them out. 🤣
Haha. I think she would ! 😂😂😂
Thisbastardcomputer · 11/09/2020 18:25

It's a great pub, been in many times

SebastianTheCrab · 11/09/2020 19:42

Brilliant letter

Whatwouldrowando · 12/09/2020 14:41

That is stunning. I'm saving her reply to reread when I need cheering up.

I genuinely would love a Mumsnet trip to Sheffield and this pub! (Covid guidelines permitting.) Anyone up for it? I'm in London. Grin

Me too. 😁 I used to go over to England @ 4 times a year, to visit one of my kids. When things are back to normal, I’m calling in. P.s. like a good Mumsnet mother, I stay in a hotel and my boy meets my youngest and I for dinner and drinks, when it suits him. Strangely, it’s every evening! 🤔 I’m sure it’s noting to do with me paying. 😆

I would be up for this too. We could all go up on the train wearing ‘I love JKR’ t-shirts.😁
