The writer is Reese Piper. There is so much wrong with it I don't know where to start.

You might want to ask Mumsnet to amend the link as it includes information about the facebook account it was copied from. It should be;

And yet we still don’t seem interested in encouraging girls to pick up weights or so push ups or pull ups which are really empowering (as in they make you more physically powerful).
