I believe it's well recognised that abuse and coercive control often begins when a woman is pregnant. No idea if that was the case with this particular relationship but I thought I'd point it out.

Yes, I agree I think such behaviour is mental cruelty and narcissism, too. Can you imagine the utter exhaustion of caring for a young baby and then that gets piled onto your lap? Instead of getting support the rug is pulled out from under you.

Really, it's not what was said, or not said, or 'liked' or not deleted that matters, is it?

The reason that the feminist was fined is nothing to do with events that did or didn't happen. It's just about 'identities'.

In addition to paying compensation, the tribunal told Ms Rep to delete "all posts, statements, information, suggestions or implications" on the matter and refrain from the same or similar posts in future.

^This is why we need to keep fighting. Ms Rep has to refrain from making similar posts in future ie shut up woman you are no longer permitted to have opinions.

So no freedom of speech in Oz now.

Bumping to add: Beth Rep has reached the stretch target of her fund-raiser. I've also heard that she will be appealing the verdict. So far it hasn't been confirmed, but I'm hoping it's true (fingers crossed!) If it is, I'll be slinging a few more dollars her way.

I've seen in the past week a video of a woman being strangled by a policeman and a pregnant woman being arrested for organising a party - both in Australia. And now this. And Marie Stopes. It looks like Aus is a scary place to be a woman right now.
