But something to look forward to and inspire us.

Brazen Hussies - Australian women’s liberation movement in the 50s and 60s. There’s a trailer if you scroll down the front page.

They have been captured, but the early footage is great.

(I’m sorry for the individual posts, but the page kept refreshing and dumping my comments).

It’s all go in Australia.

Senator Claire Chandler, who spoke out in Parliament about the right of women to women’s sports and spaces, has been forced to answer to the Australian Equality Commission for her comments.

Apologies for the FB link, but its the Senator’s page.

There is also the article that was on front pages across the country about the father who gave birth to a COVID baby, was able to chest feed and is wants to be listed as the father on the birth certificate.....

Even thoughSenator Clarie Chandler is a Liberal, she at least has some sense. I admire her very much and her statement in Parliament about being summoned by the AEC is factual. I hope the finding is in her favour.

The ACT government has swallowed the Gender Woo Woo whole, so I'm not surprised that the ACT Human Right's Commission ruled in favour of Clinch. :( There's hashtag on twitter #istandwithbeth and a crowd funder on "Go Fund Me" for Beth Rep.

NotYourCisterinAus · 09/09/2020 06:22

Also an article on Victoria Police from last weekend's Australian:

On a positive note, I checked Beth Reb's crowdfunder a couple of hours after I donated and it had gone up by nearly $2000. This verdict must have really pissed off a lot of people.

highame · 09/09/2020 16:44

Isn't it funny how many of us are getting pissed off. It's a woman thing isn't it, not always a lot of noise but we like to register our displeasure Grin

ItalianHat · 09/09/2020 17:54

Thank you! for the link to Brazen Hussies. I spent some of those years in Australia as a teenager/university student. I recognise some of the feminist heroes in the documentary. Wonderful wonderful women.

Haven't been able to find the crowdfunder I hope that means its hit its target?
NecessaryScene1 · 09/09/2020 19:15

Think it's been down for a couple of hours - my old link was giving an error and searches weren't working. When it came back my donation attempts failed. I now see new donations coming in.

Search for "Beth Rep" and you should see it now.

fatblackcatspaw · 09/09/2020 20:06
