Radio NZ T**F headline, misogynist comedy

This is a horrid video I saw Ani O’Brien discuss on Twitter a while ago. The women thinks she’s a comedian, and so do RNZ, and she openly uses slurs against women and the group Speak Up For Women. This is meant to be about last years Feminism 2020 events in wellington and Auckland, the wellington one was stopped at Massey university but relocated and this ‘comedian’ stood up and made a fool of herself in the middle of speeches. The meeting she did this at was attended by mana whenua, local Iwi/tribe, and kuia ( women elders ), so this is extremely disrespectful.

Many complaints were made to RNZ who responded today with a long annoying 2 page ramble mainly focused on.... freedom of speech. Really. So you’re complaining about women meeting to exercise their freedom of speech by calling them derogatory names and defend that using freedom of speech.

It is bizarre that Snedden is vilifying feminists and apparently attacking their right to speak, but her program ends by claiming that the feminists were trying to prevent her from speaking after she disrupted one of their meetings.

I know! She definitely is no comedian. I’m amazed anyone finds her funny. All I see is someone cackling as she tries to roll back women’s rights.

Agreed. It’s sad when women do this to other women, I’ve rarely seen it done with the same vengeance and nastiness as this person. But this is her platform, she wouldn’t have one otherwise as she’s not a good comedian. So, who cares if you shit on women when you get paid for it, right?

What a waste of money. Just goes to show the dismal state of both comedy and journalism in Aotearoa.

No Alice, people do not think that your gender is decided by your chromosomes. They think that sex is decided by your chromosomes and that gender is regressive bollocks appropriated by people who weren't feeling quite special enough when they just had a personality instead.
