What if , when we are asked about preferred pronoun , everyone just put 'Comrade '? I don't even know if it's a true pronoun to be fair. But it might rattle a few cages. Smile

I see why you are thinking this but I will not allow my womanhood to be erased. So I am she. But I will never list my pronouns except to say they are, like my oppression, sex-based.

Like it working. Will steal it!

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 03/09/2020 00:24

My pronoun is still Your Majesty. However you may keep comrade Smile.

@EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire fab name. Born and lived their until 24. My family were of the opinion (and rightly so) that the Universe was built around Leeds

I think mine are 'Who/me?'

CuriousaboutSamphire · 03/09/2020 14:46

I have, in one of my emails, added my preferred pronouns. I am feeling a little brave this week!

Me/Myself/I

A good friend has responded asking me if I am OK, if DH is working away again or is it is a response to another stupid Network meeting.

A very close friend has asked me if I need any literature, he can recommend a couple of good clinics

A not so good friend has asked me what the hell that's supposed to mean?

I am considering my reply to the third. She's a bit strident, might go off all guns Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/09/2020 14:47

I still like Sir Humphery's 'perpendicular pronoun'.

bellinisurge · 03/09/2020 14:57

If that stupid nonsense comes to our office (public sector) I will studiously ignore it until confronted with it. I will then say I identify as Captain Marvel so they can address me as "Captain ".

Yorkshire is a great place. I was actually thinking of making Yorkshire lass my pronoun but since I am not actually from Yorkshire I am worried people will get offended. I don't live far from Yorkshire though, it's just under an hour to York on a train so maybe I can get away with it?

DianasLasso · 04/09/2020 10:02

@EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire you can just identify as a Yorkshire lass. That's the whole point.
