You're ok, op. I'm laughing as you may just fill the first page yourself. I'll just give my tuppence worth. I agree with you that it seems to be necessary to say sex when we are talking about man or woman now. These used to do the job before they were sabotaged/ hijacked from ordinary life to mean something more vague. Even ephemeral as meanings seem to change as the next new bright things attribute a different nuance to them.

However, people keep saying that gender is the polite term. I think things have moved on a tad from that stance.

I really admire her and agree with what she says. But she negates the whole point by using gender instead of sex.
I know what I mean. Unfortunately DH got a special offer on a bottle of wine this evening...
