Lisa did the research on rapid onset gender dysphoria. I wonder if she felt pushed out. It is good that she will be focusing on gender dysphoria and continuing to do research.

It’s really fantastic news. Research in this area is desperately needed.

It is. I think my title is wrong as she is going to be looking at gender dysphoria in general not just detranstioners but it is good that she is going to be independent.

I hope the institute has a decent amount of funding as I know that there is not a lot of funding from the usual channels.

Really great news. Maybe there will be some solid effort to now identify the numbers of detransitioners and what support they need.

The previous statistics have all been flawed. Either due to 'self-reporting for a prize draw', definition of who they are, or that they have merely been only collected because they have sought support from the same organisation that they have used to transition (ie. very few do this for various reasons, including the feeling of being 'mistreated' in the past).

These vulnerable people need as much support as the transitions and hopefully this will start the process.

It's great to see people organising.

Excellent news.

Perhaps James Caspian could get in touch.
