I'm usually impressed by how much preparation Majid does for his shows. Let's hope he has done his research on this too (sounds like he has from his intro).

Couldn’t listen in but Maajid Nawaz has tweeted about Laurel Hubbard and the injustice to women in sport before.

I only heard the first part.
I'm a big Majid fan, but he did sound a bit mansplainy.

He does that on most issues to be fair ElizabethMainwaring

He just had a (not sure what we allowed to call them this week) on who immediately misrepresented what JKR said; Maajid corrected them quite firmly.

Yes, that was a great point.

I only heard bits but the bits I heard were very good and very much Majid sounding quite gender critical and he was extremely clear that truth and safeguarding is always more important than feelings.

Was planning on having a proper listen later.

Definitely worth a listen.

Maajid definitely gets it.

He rattled through:

Women's sports
Women's prisons
Self ID
Safeguarding
Sex being important in medical treatment
No debate/ No Platforming
JKR not being transphobic
How do you tell the difference between 'genuine trans' and those out to abuse self ID.
Women having the right to spaces without men because of male violence
It not being transphobic to have concerns about women's safety.

Sounds really positive. Good to know that Maajid gets it and has done his homework. Nick Ferrari also gets it, and I think Shelagh Fogarty does too, but hasn't been terribly forthcoming so far
