Ok so this has been a Bugbear for years, but I have one of those severe hidden chronic conditions so have had to sit on this whilst i just get through the day with the kids and family chaos....anyway, its about the bloody Daily Star "newspaper" and its Tits and Ass front pages which I continue to see at toddlers height whilst shopping with the kids and the "mummy why has that lady got no clothes on?" questions. The kids ask enough awkward questions thanks very much. So I had had enough the other day when in Salisbury "Kylie" (not the famous one) was touching her overflowing tits and pouting, and apparently she was "RED HOT" according to the Front Page news. She was staring at me from those floor height newspaper vertical window thingys. Grumble grumble, I had complained before but didn't have the energy this time. I crossed town and went to Tesco who had instead of the newspapers in the windows, big red posters with just the names of the papers! Wow I thought, could it be because Tesco are thinking what I am thinking about Kylie and The Toddlers??? I asked at customer services, YES she said they were not displayed because well, some pictures and wording on front pages are not appropriate. Well, I nearly fell over....So yes Tesco have a national policy (and i have got it word for word in my emails) not to display newspaper front pages in their window thingys because people had complained. SO... I was wondering if people want to email the other major supermarkets for their policy, or perhaps send them photos of future Kylies displayed next to their kids (to show how FAMILY FRIENDLY their shopping experience) I am sure you could come up with something catchy to go with it . OBVS without your kids identity been shown and all that and not looking at Kylie either...mmm...may be tricky. Anyhow if you agree with what I am saying...anything that takes their time and energy, because I don't have the energy or wellness to do it all myself and they wont just listen to little old me on my own. Lets see if we can change the world! (well just the weekly shopping experience, its a start)
