Yes - i'm not at all convinced by the Carrie Symonds thing, but I am worried that Johnson did not give Liz Truss the go ahead before the summer recess as planned.

There's a thread about this supposed intervention by Carrie Symonds based on article in the Times.

But neither that article nor any other made it clear what her position was.

More that the Tories just weren't interested in having a "culture" war with them in the middle with both TRAs and gender critical feminists rsponding negatively. They are more focused on Brexit and getting bogged down in not having any idea what they are doing about the corona virus.
