Could it be that Dr Shaw is just a bit of an attention seeker?

News Flash: Ninety-two percent of murderers in the UK are Men.

It's not so much the 'myself' word, so much as that she puts herself first: 'myself and my co-host', rather than 'my co-host and I...' that is objectionable. Shouldn't she know to put the other person first?

@calllaaalllaaammma

She starts off undermining the need to differentiate by sex class at all which seems the end result of the ‘logic’ of queer theory. She then rehashes the MRA trope that women get more lenient sentences than men. In the end she the seems to be saying that yes, there are a few rare female murderers -well we know that as so many Hollywood films and TV series’s are made about them year after year.
Zombie lies never die. In reality women usually get much harsher sentences for violent crimes than men do.

To be honest, I think there is a fundamental mis communication around prejudice and bias between the statisticians and the social sciences. This is an example of it.

I have sat in on debates about racism. The social scientists think it is racist to make any generalisation around ethnicity, even if the side effects of a drug are 80x as common in people of East Asian descent, for example. The statisticians think it is racist to assume everyone behaves the same as the white, Caucasian males it was tested on.

It's a bit like Invisible Women and the "Gotcha" saying "what is this book if feminists think men and women are the same." Same school of thought, same fundamental problem with our education system.

That’s a terrible article. And oh, Sofie, given your belief in gender identity, how could you possibly know that the data on men and women committing crime is accurate? Did you ask them all their gender identity? Did you separate the data from before about 2016 when we used to report by sex, and post 2016 when we seem to report on a mix of sex and gender? What about non binary people like you, where do they fit in? Hideously misgendered and forgotten, no doubt.
